The Glenn Twins
Hailing from A-Town (Atlanta) the Glenn Twins Debra and Joyce have taken the hip-hop modeling world by storm. Appearing in videos like Wanna Get to Know Ya, by G-Unit and Presidential, by The Youngbloods the twins have shown why they are the hottest hip-hop video honeys. S1 and Migs recently caught up with these beautiful young ladies and this is what they had to say:
MIgs: Being that you young ladies are so academically proficient what is it that attracted you to modeling and being in videos?
We don't know. Lol. Just kidding. Initially, we never aspired to pursue the entertainment industry. When we moved to Atlanta, opportunities kept presenting themselves and Debra eventually wanted to give it a shot. We knew we would be more marketable and unique as twins, so Joyce agreed and here we are. Lol.
Migs: What are some of the videos that you have been in recently?
R. kelly f/ the Game in "Playas Only", Young Bloodz "Presidential", and Cruna "Take me Higher".
S1: I know that ya'll are mad professional and don't "Hook Up" on the set while shooting video'z but, has there ever been a time when thingz just got a little too hot during a Shoot?
Honestly, no. Even when shooting "love scenes" like in the G-unit video, it is very impersonal. For example, love scenes are often composed of good camera angels to give the impression that a kiss took place when it actually didn't. So, no things have never gotten too hot during a shoot.
S1: Why do ya'll think you guyz are so hot right now, iz it becuaze ya'll iz twinz, iz it becuaze ya'll carry a sweet yet exotic look, or iz juz becuaze ya'll iz Proz in the Biz and Clientz know what they are gettin every time, 2 fly azz mami'z?
We guess it's because we have been in the game for a little bit, so we are familar with the etiquette. We are professional and intelligent. Also we have a unique look and being twins helps us stand out from all the other girls pursuing this industry.
Migs: What are your short term goals as far as modeling goes? and are there any movie aspirations?
In terms of modeling there aren't many aspirations that we haven't accomplished yet. But, there are movie aspirations. We actually had a role in "The Gospel" and recently shot a independent film, but we want to do much more. We thoroughly enjoy acting.
MIgs: I was very impressed by your resume of work, what would you ladies say was your favorite shoot or video was?
The new Cruna music video because it required acting. Also the shoot for tha Atlanta Dymes 2006 calendar was amazing. We shot it in Jamaica, on the beach. We got to shoot with horses, so it definitely was a memorable experience.
S1: OK for the sake of our readerz and your fanz, what are ya'll measurement? and what do ya'll do to stay in such lovely shape. Thank you. Our stats are 32-23-33. We work out about 5 times a week, alternating cardio and weight training every other day.
S1: What type of guyz are ya'll atracted to, Clean Cut, Thugged Out, Athletic... what Type of Guyz get ya'll excited?
Physically, we don't have a specific preference as long as his keeps himself up and is attractive. The personality is most important. He has to have aspirations, be educated, secure, and have a good sense of humor.
Migs: It's been a pleasure having you lovely ladies grace the pages of Legacy Magazine. Why don't you kick us some wisdom from the Glenn Twins?
We want to thank Legacy Magazine for their interest in us. It's appreciated. Also we want all aspiring models and viewers to know that being successful at modeling, acting, or any avenue you desire to pursue in general takes tremendous effort. So, have a contingency plan. In our opinion, the best back-up plan it a degree. We feel that getting an education is so imperative to success, so make that a priority.
