CL: Kim is not only A Beautiful Model, but also A very intelligent UNC Tarheel…So how did you go from being a Tarheel to modeling? How did you get into modeling?
KG: Well for years I had been told that I should get into modeling…I had a lot of people ask me if I was a model and I never imagined myself to be a model because I was always a tomboy growing up in high school, like playing sports and doing stuff like that…So anyway a couple of years ago I had a friend that knew an amateur photographer that needed girls to shoot and I ended up doing a couple of shoots with him, just for fun it wasn’t like I was really trying to pursue modeling at that time and after that I just ended up getting a few jobs here and there…Then back in April of last year I decided that if I could get jobs without really trying I just wanted to see what would happen if I actually became determined and really focused on it…So that’s when I decided that I wanted to be a real model and ever since then it’s been like a whirlwind everything’s just falling into place and I’m feeling really blessed…
CL: Okay so tell me about some of the work that you are doing right now?
KG: Right now I’m filming an independent movie…I was in Miami last month for 2 weeks filming the movie and I go back in a couple of weeks…
CL: What’s the name of the movie?
KG: The name of the movie is “What Goes Around” and actually is a really good script…It’s a movie about relationships with the underlying theme of educating the audience about HIV, STD’s especially in the black community…
CL: That’s what’s up…So I also understand that you were recently in a calendar?
KG: Well last year I was in 2 calendars…This year 2 2008 calendars and they were both basically…
CL: Was it all you?
KG: No... They were both basically swimsuit calendars that featured different models around the country and this year I’m also committed to doing 2 more calendars…
CL: So your busy 24/7 your in Miami, your in D.C., Cancun all over the place tell me about your favorite project that you have done so far?
KG: Well I have a top 3, they were all different…My favorite photo shoot was for Dub Magazine that was my first national publication that I did…I did the cover of Dub Stars which is a magazine with in Dub Magazine and I had like a 7 page spread…That was really great because Dub Magazine is huge and seen by millions of people and also the people at Dub are really good people, everybody that I’ve met with and worked with from Dub have been really cool nice people…Another favorite of mine was the Ciroc Vodka commercial with Diddy and that was just such an interesting project to see how commercials are done, it was like a 13 hour day and you spend all this time just to get a 30 second commercial…It was cool just to be in a commercial with someone as big as Diddy…The third favorite would be this movie that I’m working on because I actually have one of the lead roles in the movie…Basically I’m the messenger of the movie and I really believe in the message what the movie is trying to say, so that’s real important to me because I’m really trying to pursue acting now…Those are my top 3 in my career so far…
CL: So what are your future goals and aspirations?

KG: Well without a doubt I want to be successful in the modeling and acting fields…Hopefully become a household name…My short term goals are working on my website which is www.kimgossonline.com so hopefully I will launch that soon and just continue to work hard…
