MIGS: Jade-Foxx, love the name ma and really diggin your flow. Every now and then a female rapper comes along and makes a serious impact on hip hop whether it be their flow, their music or their looks, you seem to have the complete package. What impact are looking to make?

JADE-FOXX: I want to change the way people look at hip-hop music, and for them to see that it is not as limited as people make it seem. What I talk about in my music is real, and there are messages I strive to convey through my music. This is unfortunately a male dominated game, and I want people to know that a woman can do this job and grind the same way as any man. I want my music to stand out, so when people hear me on the radio, they will be like "Ohhh damn, that’s that new Jade Foxx cut". I break my back to be versatile and not cliché.

MIGS: How did you get started in the rap game?

JADE-FOXX:I actually started in the rap game as an R&B singer. I have always loved hip-hop and been influenced by it. I have been writing poetry and lyrics for the longest time, and a bunch of people heard my poetry and were shocked that I wasn’t rapping yet. A little more than two years ago, I met people that really pushed me to start rhyming. They didn’t want to hear "No" for an answer. It was a huge impact and if I didn’t associate myself with these people, I don’t really know if I would be in the position I am in now, hungry as ever. Things that I hear on the radio really motivate me to keep banging out songs because I feel like I could top their success. The rap game is such an addiction.

MIGS: What has been the response to your music throughout the internet and nationally?

JADE-FOXX:Well, there has been both positive and negative feedback, but for the most part, people are feeling my stuff. I cant complain about the overall response. I don’t expect everyone to think my music is hot, and I don’t expect everyone to like it, and if it weren’t for the negative feedback how would I know what to work on or change? I have made so many important contacts on the internet with DJ's and other people involved in the industry, from all over the world, and the majority of them are pushing my music whether it be on their mixtapes, radio shows, or in the clubs. And the internet is such a wonderful thing, it has linked me with people in Croatia, Italy, Malaysia, and even Austria. If it weren’t for the internet, we may not even be doing this interview!
