GARCIA BIO:
"Hometown heroes Jacki-O, Dirtbag and Pitbull have all been able to build a national buzz from the love they generated in Miami, while up and comers like Garcia Look to follow in their footsteps." –MTV news 08/16/2004
"Art is validated by commerce, not the other way around. Caught somewhere in the middle was Garcia whose Anti-Social was one of the best albums in 2004. Not enough people heard it, but his powerful performances at The Cut where his Crazy Hood crew held an open mic session for several months marked him a rapper to watch out for." – Miami New Times 12/23/2004
"In Miami, few can hold a candle to Garcia, who straddles the gulf between backpackers and thugs with a grace worthy of The Beatnuts. As point man / videographer for Crazy Hood Productions, Garcia issued his acclaimed debut album Anti-Social, last year speaking real tales of turbulent teenage years and current triumph as married man and mentor to other fledgling hip-hoppers. He’s a dope MC trying to navigate the lines separating righteousness from violence, and weakness from kindness." – Urb Magazine Next 100 issue April 2005
Garcia has been in Miami's underground hip hop scene since 1992. Slowly, he has been working his way to the top of Miami's elite unsigned artist list. Being unsigned has not deterred this vicious MC to claim his stake in the dirty bottom's bomb of ready to blow MC's and this convinced "Miami's Mixtape King" DJ EFN to work with the young MC. His love for the culture has possessed him in a manner many cannot comprehend but his love of better things almost put a halt to his music career placing Garcia in legal complications. To escape the expected young Latin male's drug and prison route that his life was taking, Garcia began to perfect his musical abilities. He began to develop a distinguished style and evolved his rhyme flow into a grimy and straight to the point no-holds-barred of lyrical assault. Before his days as a Crazy Hood, Garcia recorded, manufactured and hustled his music. This helped to bring Garcia local fame as a hungry ambitious MC who was going to be heard! Garcia, as a member of Da Alliance Family, has shared stages with the likes of DMX, C-N-N, Busta Rhymes, Mobb Deep, Outkast and many more. He has also been heard on mix tape tracks collaborating with Capone-N-Noreaga, Musaliny-N-Maze, Sean Paul, and Joe Buddens.
Garcia's first 12" single None Of Dem earned him numerous commercial radio spins and the video to the single was aired on television station's nationwide. The most notable television show airing the video was "The Roof" which airs on MUN2 as well as Telemundo International. In fact, the video was so successful it won the number one spot on the show's top 5 count down and Garcia has performed "None Of Dem" live on the show twice. Garcia has since gone on to become one of the most played local artists on Miami commercial and college radio. His album Anti-Social was released to huge critical acclaim and has earned Garcia a show schedule even he has trouble keeping track of. His second single "Come Get It" proved to follow in the same suit as his first, earning him more national TV and radio exposure.
Garcia has already risen to local celebrity status and is poised to take it to the next level. Voted best local rap artist by the Miami New Times. Few can match his resume in Miami and it’s only a matter of time before Garcia is a household name!
