S1: Yeah, yeah, yeah was’ goin on baby this is Legacy mag.net-Legacy Radio… Today I got none other than that nigga Daz. Was’ goin on Daz…How you feelin yo

Daz: Chillin man, wass’sup man you know just keeping the grind… stayin positive, just keeping the grind

S1: Alright, alright… We definitely want to get into a lot of information that I know you got comin up…you’ve been involved in a lot of shit from the early 90’s, you know what I’m sayin we’re gonna touch on that, and I know you got a couple of new projects comin out and you got your own label. Let’s just bring it back to the “back in the day“, let’s go ahead with The Chronic I know you were involved with that…That was the early days with Death Row.. Just reminisce through that, how it was working with Dre, how it was the early days on death row, your cousin snoop, talk about that break that shit down

Daz: It was a pleasure working with Dr. Dre, Snoop, all the catz …Just a learning experience, that was my first album introduction to the game.. It was real profitable and learnable, it’s just you know, as I am doing my own stuff, I am just happy to be a part of history.

S1: No doubt man , let me tell you bro, your etched in the history books forever with that joint and other shit you have done besides that. For instance , I know you have done a lot of production work with Tupac’s “All Eyes On Me”. First question is, how was it working with Tupac?… and the flip side is, how was it working with him as far as producing music? There’s one thing working with him as an individual and then making music. You know what I am sayin…hanging with him and then business.

Daz: With Tupac Shakur it was like a person, nah what I mean, you had to know him, quiet, a Gemini… I am a Gemini too, so we do the same things you know, as far as waking up early in the morning making them beats, that’s how you catch Daz, you gotta get up early in the morning to catch him. So he would catch me in the morning. But when he first came to Death Row, I was the first person he came to, as far as, putting the music together in “All Eyes on Me”, “I ain’t mad at you“, “I got my mind made up“, “Scandalous“ and the list goes on man. It’s a pleasure working with Tupac, it’s a part of history, happy to be part of that. For the 2005, share my legacy with my “So So Gangster” album

S1: **No doubt, no doubt.. Let’s go ahead and touch on that. Right now the name of your label is ** Dogg Pound Records

Daz: Dogg Pound Gangster Inc.

S1: Aight, Dogg Pound Gangster Inc , and what you got on deck with that, what you got cookin’?

Daz: That’s through So So Def…then on my independent label I got Gangster advisory recordings…that’s when I’m dropping the Dogg Pound Gangster MP due on the 25th of this month. I am an independent person with my own record sales.

S1: And how many tracks you got on that joint?

Daz: Nineteen

S1: Aight, and who you working with, what you bringing, what type of heat you got with you?

Daz: I am bringing shit for the ladies and all for the gangstas ya know what I mean, just bringing it back to the ol’ school dogg pound days with this album here that is why I am calling it the dogg pound gangsta LP

S1: Aight, you got any of your boys, any new jacks, that you are brining through from the sidelines and shit?

Daz: I got songs on there by George Clinton, Grif Shelley, but it is just an album with all me , no features, just singing features.

S1: It’s basically your album, you’re the one rockin the shit but you got other people doin’ some musical shit in the background.

Daz: It was produced by Daz Dillinger

S1: Aight, aight that’s the shit I wanna hear dawg. Back in the day you and Kurupt had it goin’ on, you niggaz were tight, legit…Definitely part of Death Row, makin it happen, what was the falling out between y’all there was a lot of bullshit goin on out there. Personally I wanted to ask you so that people could hear from you mouth.

Daz: Yeah, it’s bullshit it had a lot to do with betrayl envy money and shit like that. Tupac was really involved in that situation, Baby’s momma’s, homiez was involved everybody was just trying to cover the fuck up and steal my music and sell it to Suge Knight, coz I wouldn’t fuck with his fat ass. My baby momma she pulled a whammy on me and started fuckin with Suge Knight. Getting the money. Kurupt was hookin that shit up. And that’s who told me (my baby momma) Kurupt was with Death Row,” he at the parties”, and I’m like bitch how do you know? Ya nah what I mean?

It all came down it was a big ol’ crash on me and made me realize.. And that is why I am doin what I am doing today you know it takes a lot for you to stop doin the old shit you were doin to become the new man that you are. Ya nah what I mean?

S1: That shit ain’t easy more power to you bro coz a lot of times your not only working against yourself but you are also working against other people that don’t wanna see you shine That’s definitely all good bro. So what else can we expect from you man, any movies, are you writing any books? Whats the deal dawg?...

Daz: Yeah I’m writing a book right now called Daz Dillinger, ya know what I’m sayin, my life… and I am working on an album right now called Gangsta Crunk

S1: Aight Gangsta Crunk …Do you have a release date on that?

Daz: I am working on that now as soon as I am finished it’s gonna be out about two months after that, it’s an independent album… I’m just pressin them up and sellin them outta the trucks and the big stores.

S1: Takin it back to the ol’ school days right …straight out the truck fuck it

Daz: Yeah that’s what I’m sayin, just taking control of the music man

S1: Aight…Yo Daz you the mothafuckin man you know what I’m sayin, you keep producing …you keep doin your shit… you stay strong …bro your aight, you’re a good role model you know what I’m sayin. Last but not least a lot of niggaz been through that Death Row shit and we seen where niggaz wound up, your definitely a soldier bro you stood strong man you doin’ your thing dawg … Yo Daz take it easy bro.

Daz: Peace
