The O.C. Interview Rocking the mic since the early 90's with groups like Organized Confusion and Diggin In The Crates Crew O.C. has been a staple on the underground scence with several critically acclaimed solo joints. Now down with the Hierogylphics Crew O.C. Is poised to make a comeback and show these young catz in the game how to sling lyrics. S1 caught up with one of Brooklyn's finest and this is what he had to say:

S1: Yeah, yeah, yeah whats going on my peoples you know who this is S1 the muthafucking man, representing Legacy Magazine, Legacy Radio, www.legacymag.net and today we have a special, special guest today we gonna drop his name in a minute....well times up...Wassup OC how doing baby?

OC: Chillin baby boy whats poppin?

S1: Nothing much man chillinout here grinding just like you...But I've been hearing you name poppin lately I know you have a joint in the oven bout to drop soon we definitely gonna touch on that...We gonna touch on your history and bring the readers up to speed....Right now whats going on with you daddy? Whats going on in your world?

OC: Nothing man just the rebirth you know...You know what I mean its like I'm down with another clique right now I'm still down with diggin...Always and forever....I'm just part of an extended new family Hierogylphics na meen...And just doing the damn thing na meen I miss it...I'm just trying to make things work again na meen...

S1: I'm glad you brought out the Hierogylphics...I see that your signed or your working with their label know what I'm saying...We interviewed them awhile back...Domino definitely a quality ass producer...What brings you to the west coast like that dawg?

OC: Honestly it was a mutual thing...They inquired about me through one of my partners...I was surprised that they were such a tight family that they would take an outsider like that...So you know its gravy...

S1: Okay, okay...Now originally you started out with Organized Confusion...Alot of niggas is still flavoring over that...Some legitimite hip hop classic back then...Like you brought up before Diggin in the Crates you never really left it...Just bring us back to those days and how it was when you first jumped off and got into the game you know what I'm saying...

OC: Well to me it was like that was the Golden Era right there...Starting out in the early 90's...That was before people knew who Nasir was, before people knew who Jeru was, me and Black Moon...It was just a good era coming up...You had a lot of lyricist who were really true to what they did regardless if later on they got into the business side...They started out on the lyrical tip...And I think the kids bringing it up to date, I think a lot of the young catz are spolied with the exception of a few...Like we really had to beat the pavement...It really was just a different time...I really don't like to expound on it like that as far as people looking at us as old school and hatin it...You know its like learn ya craft, do ya history and people will respect you more...
