Sean Price:Monkey Barz "Independant Album of the Year"

Whenever you talk about Boot Camp Click you gots to talk about the nicest member lyrically of the crew Sean Price aka Ruck. Sean Price has a new album out called "Monkey Barz" which was recently named indie album of the year. S1 recently caught up with the Ruck and this is what he had to say:

S1: Yo Sean what's da deal my nigga how you feeling baby?

Sean Price: I'm good daddy, what's going on?

S1: Chillin, chillin just happy to be talking to my nigga that just dropped the bomb, fuckin Monkey Barz man.You know that was another album that was rated pretty high on underground hip hop.Talk to us about that whole little transition you know putting that out there on the dolo, you know just taking some time off from the Helter Skelter thing and what you got planned for the knuckleheads yo?

SP: I mean you know the album, like you said, I took some time off from the Helter Skelter thing.Exactly.You know I had a lot of thoughts and ideals I just wanted to put together and I ain't feel like sharing with nobody, so I did the solo joint you know Monkey Bars, you know.I love the shit.The process was real easy as far as making the music the hard part is the politics of labels and all that and not Duck Down.I'm talking about the label that they deal with. They distribute whatever, whatever so that's the politics but everything else was cool, it wasn't politics for me I ain't have to deal with that.That was Dru and Buck that had to deal with that, I just had to make that music, so that's what I did, I did my part they did they part and it came out.It's doing pretty good I can't complain, I can't brag but I can't complain so its out there and getting a good response but that's what that is though it's time to move on na mean.

S1: Alright, I just got to put it out there, I definitely gotta ask, my people wanna know.As far as Helter Skelter is concerned do you see anything on the horizon?

SP: Me and Rock just did a song with Kool G Rap for Green Lantern's new mix tape, shit is fire trust me.

S1: Alright that's what I'm feeling, I can't wait for ya'll niggas to put something out there.

SP: We working on a new album but it's a process though.A lot people was disappointed by Magnum Force so we definitely don't want to do that again, so we definitely taking our time with it.It's not like niggas is really checkin for us so we taking our time with it.When it get right, when it sounds great, it'll be out.Na meen, no date, we not signed.Helter Skelter ain't signed to no label, we got a bunch of songs we been shopping and shit.On the meanwhile Rock got album coming out too called Monster Music look out for that, that shit is crack.

S1: Sean last but not least, we appreciate the time, we appreciate the love, you know what I'm saying.Right now I'm going to hand over the platform.Anything particular you wanna address to your fans, a particular beef, whatever you wanna say, niggas is listening right now.What you got to tell em?

SP: Yo you DJ's man.wow.Ya'll niggas man.wow.I had a little altercation with a DJ the other day, not an altercation, but it will be when I see em.I felt very disrespected as a man, fuck music.When I see him I'm going to challenge him to a duel.I don't run with a big crew of niggas and all that shit and a bunch of unnecessary niggas with guns.I'm not one of those types.But what I do very well, I hit harder then a mutha fucker and I know how to fight.So when you come at me side of the neck like that prepare to fight one on one.We can go in the bathroom and scrap na meen whatever.But when I see this particular DJ, on my mother's grave I'm gonna beat earth, wind and fire out this

nigga.That's what it is.DJ niggas man.Start respecting niggas man.I respect niggas, na meen.I know I need ya'll.So it's not like I'm trying to beat DJ niggas up.But I'm gonna fuck this nigga up real bad.I'm gonna fuck this dude up not because he don't play my shit.But just as a man I feel highly disrespected, this is beyond music.
