Sgt. Over has been puttin in work for years now on the underground scene in Jersey City, doing shows, making tracks and verbally assullting anyone who would dare battle him. Now backed up by the rest of his crew the Military Compound Sgt. Over is ready to take his career to the next level. He recently chatted with our very own S1 and this is what he had to say:
S1: Yeah, yeah, yeah...You know who this is...This S1 the muthafuckin man representin Legacy Magazine, Legacy Radio, legacymag.net and today I got my nigga Sgt. Over you know what I'm sayin, you know that nigga from Jersey City...Chillin baby what poppin? How you feeling yo?
Sgt: I'm good, I'm good man, I couldn't be happier things is going real good right now. I'm at the crib with the fam right now getting ready for a show tonite staying on the grizzly!
S1: Aight, aight...Thats what I love about you baby always on the grind always working shit up, you know what I'm sayin...Last time we were chillin you were down here in the M-I-A you did a show or two around the way in South Beach you were on the radio station poppin off for a minute...So alot of activity, what do you got lined up? Talk to us baby...
Sgt: You know what I'm sayin I been I started building up my presence on stage and I've done a ton of performances this past summer all over New York and shit in Jerse I've been httin up...The buzz has been buildin heavy man I got a few catz hollarin at me a couple things in the works possibly nothing solidified with some majors they gonna remain nameless until shit pops off na meen, I don't wann be name droppin or nothing like that...But yeah man things is going good man I can't complain yo...
S1: Aight, aight...Thats definitley whats up...Who are some of the catz that you been working with? You got some collabos going what can we expect? What the Srage got in the oven right now for us?
Sgt: Well I'm about to drop a solo project with my producer DJ Tech Nine from the Wu-Latio Needlebreaking Squad...I'm bringin out my whole crew now the Military Compound we doin it heavy...The next nigga you gonna be hearnin is my right hand man Ill Padill that nigga is disgusting thats the ill pimp of the crew ya na meen...I just wann thank all the fans for hittin me up and showin support na meen...

Sgt: Yeah man all I can say to these catz out here is to just be original man like you know what I mean...I'm makin a name for myself by doing something that no one really witnessed before I take the craft that I absorbed as a youngster and shaped and molded it into my very old thing and I'm bringin something unique and genuine to the table...Alot of these catz out here is just tryin to be like the last nigga that was hot you know what I'm sayin...They wanna be the next Jay-Z the next Nas and no they ain't gonna be the next Nas you could only be you...I'm tryin to be the greatest mc out and there alot of catz is just tryin to prove they gangsta so for that you don't even need to be ryhming homie take it to the streets na meen...I try to touch base on everything man i do songs that woman can feel, about my daughter...I got songs on some revolutionary shit na meen, gettin my people to rise up...
